    Morning all.

Just thought I'd let you know that I have done you a massive favour this morning, I did a Sada multibuy shop at 08:30.:)

This will pretty much guarantee that today is a non glitchy day, so we can all have a day off and get on with other important things like housework, playing with the kids, normal shopping, etc, etc.

Had a quick skim read of yesterday's posts and I see that big Dave is posting again. That gagging order didn't last very long!:rotfl:

    Reporting live from Ts.

    DTD opportunity:

British Beef Brisket Slow Roast (plastic box)

Yellow SEL offer reduced to £6 per kilo, box pre-printed £8 per kilo so effectively half price as £4 per kilo DTD.

Our freezer is still full of pork and other beef but may be useful for someone.

Anon and Elite apologies :embarasse I got DTD yesterday morning in T's Br1sl1ngt0n Br1st0l, there was a mix of £8 and £6 per kilo in the chiller, with yellow SEL for £6 per kilo. Sorry for not updating you all at the time, for some reason I thought it was part of the lamb and pork DTD. On a positive note I'm no longer a DTD virgin.
    Morning everyone :)

Just posted these slipper boots on Grabbit - £5 (down from £16) but also deducts a further £4 if you buy 2 pairs, so 2 for £6

RootedNomad thanks for this, ordered for delivery to store. I added 3 x Corn Silk loose powder which is on 342 to make it up to £20+ as I use that every day.

Have to say that I love patients like you. I respect the fact you allow juniors to do cannulas on you and don't demand more senior nurses/doctors from the start.

    :T

If a patient says they have difficult veins, I usually look at both arms and apply the tourniquet in the upper arm AND lower arm. Usually find a vein that way.

I've (yet) to fail at a cannula (touch wood). I relish difficult cannulas; kinda like these:

The way I look at it is that if they don't learn at the beginning how are we going to get these good more senior docs and nurses in the future. They have to learn some time.
Below is one of my more successful cannula arms after they've been taken out, the bruising was worse on the other arm :p

I have to get them resited every day when I need them so needless to say they enjoy having me on their wards :D
