about 5 years ago i went through a ppi claim company (as at the time i didnt know any better), anyway they got me some money back after about 2 years (about £250) of which i paid them the agreed percentage. They said that they were sending my complaint to the financial ombudsman also as they believed i was due more compensation.
on january the 9th i was offered a considerable amount by barclaycard of which i have sent back the acceptance letter and i am waiting for the money, oracle legal have today contacted me by TEXT MESSAGE asking if i have recieved my money and if i have any further questions to contact them on 0161..... etc etc
now this is the first correspondence i have had from these people in nearly THREE YEARS!!!! they have never kept me up to date with how my claim is going and as far as i can see i have never had a copy of anything i have signed. does anyone know if there is anything i can do or if i can complain about this company to anybody?

What does your contract wit the claim company state?0

i cant remember and i'm pretty sure they never provided me with a copy of it.0

You can ask them to provide proof that they have a contract with you.0

There can be verbal contracts accepted by law, or contracts taken out over the internet where you agree by ticking a box and clicking a button. All are considered a legal contract.
You need to find out the original contract, but to give an idea most claim companies have a T&C that state they are due a percentage of any further claims (and some a percentage of further claims that they don't even have a hand in).0 -
it was more the fact that they have not bothered to contact me in nearly 3 years and now they do its not even a phone call its a bl**dy text message obviously wanting their pound of flesh.0

Unfortunately that's how these companies keep their profit margins. The expense of regular written contact and actually doing something other than what someone can do themselves would mean they would go bust very quickly.0
