I am thinking of downloading this programme but have some questions first. Has anyone had any problems with it on Vista HP? I think it will open word documents sent to me but what if I want to send a doc made in OO to someone who can afford MS Office? Are there any other things I need to be aware of before proceeding?

Don't know about Vista but it works on XP fine. Might be worth checking on the download page.
You can export docs in word format, so no probs there. Also works with excel, powerpoint & access as wellIt's not a light at the end of the tunnel, it's a man with a torch and more jobs

Strange - I managed to open a mortgage amortisation spreadsheet with some pretty heavy calculations for compound interest etc in it and it worked fine.I've got Open Office and I'm very pleased with it. However it can't cope with the Martin Lewis Excel budget spreadsheet. Luckily a kind MSEer passed me an Open Office version they had set up.
HTH
Can't complain for free though!:money:It's not a light at the end of the tunnel, it's a man with a torch and more jobs
