Can I claim PPI?

Hi, i'm new here, so I apologise if I shouldn't be! I have been on this website wondering if I can claim. Over 10 years ago, my husband (at the time) and I had many loans and credit cards, and I'm now wondering if I can claim PPI. However, I have none of the paperwork, except a list of all the Creditors we ended up with, and the account numbers. Some of these will only have been in my ex husbands name, some mine, and some joint. He and I are no longer in touch. I'm pretty sure we were talked into insurances with each loan/credit card. With only the account numbers and creditors names, and all accounts closed, where do I go from here? Thanks.

You must have valid reasons for mis sell and know that PPI was in fact taken.
Any joint loans will need you both to make the claims and you cannot claim for any that your ex had in just his name.
For your loans/Credit cards, contact each bank and ask if they can find you on the system, if they can and you had PPI and were mis sold, you can put a claim in.
If the banks cannot find you, put a Sar request into each bank, if you had two loans and one Credit card with the same bank then you only need do one Sar request, this will cost you £10 per bank, ask for all financial info they hold on you and give them 40 days to respond

Your ex will have to do his own that are just in his name, he cannot do a joint loan claim without your signature and vice versa.0 -
