Sky Special offer never received

Hi,

Apologies if I have put this in the wrong thread - I received a call from Sky in November 2012 offering Movies at half price with a wireless 'thingy' free!

I called in December as I had never received it, called in January, was told it had never been ordered but the offer had finished so he would speak with a manager and call back - no call, called back today and they want me to pay for it as the offer has finished and they cannot get it through the system without me paying for it and they will then refund it.

I dont think I should have to do this - besides which - I have NO income (no job and not legible for JSA) at the moment so cannot afford to do this right now!

Would someone please let me know if and what my rights are?

Thankyou

Not to be judgemental but if you have no job or income should you be paying for premium tv?

Well, you failed at not being judgmental
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

I don't understand the problem, they want you to pay so it can be put on the system and they will then refund you. If you can't get the £20 together for the box how will you pay the extra £8 a month for the movie channels?
  • spend 1 months op on mortgage to pay for it and op double when they refund
Well done you! We are OP'ing by £36 pm and it has knocked off just over a year off our term and £20k off interest. Definately worth it. Keep it up.

    simples.

they are overpaying(OP) £36 per month on their mortgage
so they could use £20 of this, then make it up when refunded
so a cost of £0 in real terms
though this definitely falls under 1st world problem
