Thanks for all the replies. Getting Ready - those look fab - just like a crate built into a wall but prettier! :rotfl:Unfortunately I have far too much crap hidden in the cupboard under the stairs to do anything like that!
I have found a link to raised beds and think I am going to try one of those. They aren't very pretty to look at but I have a feeling Poppy will love one.
I am planning on getting a vet bed cover for the colder months and just use the mesh cover for the summer as she does get very hot.

Those staircase kennels are fab, we have an open staircase so this is putting ideas in to my head A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0
