pc will not start up!
after power cuts,Windows xp will not start up...
Have tried every option & attempted to do the pc angel but that wont work either
it appears & say's please wait!...................and it stayed like that for hours

If you have a Windows XP CD, start the computer with it and use the Recovery Console. At the prompt type chkdsk c: /r. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3140580
