Afordable virtual office address

Hi

Can anyone recommend a legit and affordable virtual office address service in the UK?

I only need a service that can provide a physical address. I don't even need any mail forwarding really, as I only need to use the service to provide a legal address for registering domain names.

I did try a certain service that offered a London address and mail forwarding, which I tested by sending a letter to myself, which never arrived.

Many thanks

Use your home address - you won't get any cheaper! :)

If you do use a virtual address, then you will need mail forwarding, else how will you get any mail sent there.

Do the Post Office do anything like that ?
Can you get letters delivered straight to your local post office and go and pick them up ?

    Up Date,
    Seems they may do.

  • Yes, the post office provides PO Box addresses - but they are very expensive - they have more than doubled (maybe tripled) the cost!

    Cheapest is your address.
Otherwise, maybe you have a friend that owns a business - you could ask them if they are willing (maybe for a fee) to let you use their address.

I use 123reg to register domain names and you can select to have your home address hidden and they'll use the 123 address as the domain registrant,

Though if you still need a virtual office then I can recommend carrwoodpark.com

Perhaps not a very good test. PO looses something like 2M (?) pieces of mail every year I'm led to believe. :D. Whatever it is is a frighteningly high number,

    I used to use:

    http://www.office-answers.com/

and they were excellent, still use them for reception services now.

Then I got my accountant, and now just use their address (with his permission!)
  • I've found the following but not sure if they are OK or not... would love to know if anyone has used them?

Capital Office charge £45 pa for registered address
    and
Your City Office who charge £20 per month.

    Cheers :)

If you are registering a .co.uk for the purposes of trading as you would be doing for a business you HAVE to display a postal address on the WHOIS at which you can be contacted and your company registration number (in the case of Limited Companies)

If you don't and someone complains to Nominet (the registry for ..uk) you could have your domain registration cancelled.

Speaking as a consumer I tend to check this when first dealing with companies I never have before and simply won't deal with ones that don't display an address on WHOIS.

WHOIS opt out is for non trading individuals only.

  • I use Eazi Virtual Solutions. They charge £3.50 a month on a year basis or £4.00 if you pay them monthly. They have done me fine so farr!

Hi. I am also starting a business and would like to register my domain name under a virtual address simply to keep my home address private. This is simply for security reasons.

If I use a 'virtual office', I assume I give them my real name and address and then use the address they give me for registering my business domain etc. Would I be able to decide the name of the business AFTER purchasing a virtual address as I would need to purchase the virtual address first (in order to register the business under it)?

Can anyone recommend anyone they have used? I am thinking of using Eazi Virtual Solutions but I'm not sure yet. I'm looking for something cheap as I just need the address and will rarely need any mail forwarding.

Any advice would be appreciated, and PLEASE no spamming! :)
