If they die at the vets they go for cremation, if they die at home they stay in the back garden.Barclaycard 3800
Nothing to do but hibernate till spring

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet. My 19 year old moggy died in February and she is buried in the back garden in the place where she used to sit and sun herself. There are two others in the front garden as well!
I did once work with a woman who also buried her departed cats in the garden and each time they moved house (three times that I know of) she made her husband dig up their remains and re-bury them in the new garden! She didn't think this was at all odd and I'm amazed her husband did it once never mind three times!0 -

Thanks for your replies and the support you have given me at this difficult time. I have just dug a hole to bury the cat. My sister has just been on the phone to my mum and she wants us to have the cat stuffed instaed of buried. What do you think I should do?
I am a bit concerned about doing this as even though the cat only died today I don't know how long it will be before maggots and flies appear and I don't want a health & safety issue on my hands.0 -
I wouldn't have one of mine stuffed. There's something undignified about it to me. Mine have been like family members and it would be like having my Gran stuffed and sat in the corner!
Mind you I've only ever seen one stuffed cat and when it came back from the taxidermists it didn't look anything like it did in life. It was all a bit strange really. I don't think it was that cheap either!
I would say your goodbyes, lay her peacefully in the garden and enjoy your memories of her.0 -
Apologies in advance for the levity, but if your Mother and /or Sister want the cat stuffed, tell them that you'll be sure to remember this when they go, and you'll arrange to have them stuffed, rather than buried!
As I see it, your cat = your decision, and if you want to bury the cat, that's what you should do.I can spell - but I can't type0 -
So sorry to hear about you cat passing away ... ((Hugs))
I have 2 cats and I'd be devastated if it was them .. As other posters have suggested, I think a burial in the garden is best .. Dignified and you can plant a rose bush or a lovely plant to mark the spot ..:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

Hi, So Sorry to hear about your cat, our's passed away a couple of years ago now and we had her cremated, we used a place called peaceful pets, they were brilliant, and the cost was under £100. Lovely little box and you can have an inscription put on as well0
