Great way to recycle books for Charities

I would actually prefer to donate mine to a shop thought that sells them at 4 for a pound as at least they sell. My local town is full of charity shops, most want almost half original price for the books they sell, and never sell a thing. They are the ones that now refuse to accept any more books as donated stock.
My nearest one a little hospice place run entirely by voluteers knocks them out a 30-40p for paperbacks, around a £1 for a hardback. people buy tons in there, donate stock back when they've read them and they make lots of money.
I don't like using the Oxfam bins frankly as theyget so full that a lot of times the metal shute is forced open and the rain gets in and the books are ruined. However, I have so many books to move around on a weekly basis tht if I think the weather is to stay dry I will use the bins as a last resort.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
