Cheapest way to get rid of bricks?

Hi,

Recntly moved into our home and having our garden dug up, there was alot of concrete under the soil and also bricks around which we have broke down. So far there is about 20 black bag size full bricks/concret. Whats the cheapest way I can get rid of these? Just enquired about a skip and cheapest one is about £120 plus VAT. I didnt anticipate gardening costing so much!!!

A skip is most reliable & will be gone in one day. Lots of trips to your local tip could cost quite a lot in time & petrol costs.
However if money is the issue it may be worth advertising on freecycle/free ads in local paper/local shop or post office to see if anyone is interested in hardcore for a building/patio/drive etc Free to collecter! ;)

Just thought...I don't suppose you could advertise it on ebay? Slightly worried at what I may come up across I just entered 'hardcore' & there are indeed people offering it~for free of course, so that's another option. :D

20 black bags sounds more like a 'mini skip'. (ie 1 black bag = approx 75 litres, so 20 = 1.5 cubic metres).

A 'mini skip' will hold approx 2 cubic metres

One of those should be about £50

Otherwise a few trips to your local household waste site.

Know any farmers? They are usaualy glad of hardcore to use in gateways.
Either that or fill your car up and take it to the tip.

I did the freecycle thing and someone came and took 3 trailer full.
Still left with a skip full though.
    Hopefully a mini or midi.
