Hi I received a letter from the above company stating they were reviewing their sales policies for PPI. In the letter it states I am one of a few who may have been failed by their sales practices? It gives a number to ring.
I rang..Once through the security questions I was informed that by talking to them I was automatically cancelling my policy and I would not be covered anymore and did I understand the implications of that. I said yes, as I cleared that catalogue last year
Q1: When I took out the policy in 2006 was I married or living with a partner?
Yes
Q2: When I took out the policy was I employed in fulltime employment or 16 hours + a week.
No
Q3: When I took out the policy was I aware of any future employment or was I self employed?
No, I was a carer for my child.
And that was that. Apparently I will have a decision by the 22nd April 2013 and if I dont agree with it I can only take it up with their Customer Services Dept.
I have absolutely no idea whats going on
I didnt even know I had PPI on my catalogue ....
Has anyone else had one of these letters and can they shed some light on it please for me?
Thank you.

Think of it as a bonus if you get it.
The PPI would have been on every single statement you got from your catalogue, how come you didnt notice it.
Can you dig one out and have a lookmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thank you, I will go and look for one later on. I know I should have noticed but I am not the brightest with things like this0

Just a quick update for anyone interested. Today I received a letter stating that they had reviewed the sale of PPI and I would not have been eligible for the benefits. Therefore I get:
Premiums applied to account less previous refunds £27.21
Service charge accrued on premiums £63.71
Statutory interest 8% less tax £9.04
Total refund applied £99.96
This has been applied to my account.
I had this account for years but cleared it a couple of years ago. I have no idea how much I paid nor can I check.
The letter does state that if I am in credit they will send me a chq, hopefully I will get that soon. Its money I never would have had otherwise :-)
Like I said just a wee update x0
