    You have to keep separate clothes for different jobs you're doing.
    I wear cleanish old clothes if i'm working in the house, but then scruffier old ones if i'm working in the garden. The real scruffy ones when i'm working in the back garden some a bit better when i'm in the front garden (where people can see me). Then if i'm fixing the car in the garage and getting covered in oil, any old rags will do.
