Hello everyone,
I'm not getting married until May 2014, so have plenty of time to think about this, but was wondering if any of you have any ideas for me? I'm not the best at this sort of thing!
I want to wear a knee length ivory dress, and would like it if my shoes matched the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses. This colour would then be the wedding theme colour.
Does anyone have any ideas for a good colour? Because it'll be late spring I'd like a nice summery colour, but I'm not sure my bridesmaids would appreciate anything too bright!

I think you should go with a colour personal to you. I love red so having red shoes, but you might think 'eghhhhh' :-)Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

I'm having red shoes too although I have a full length dress. The colour should be something that appeals to you and your other half.0

I'm getting married in April next year and having sage green, so a nice fresh springy colour!! a friend also had sage green with pink which is lovely for that time of year, you can have some nice pink peonies! I'm going I'm having sage green with ivory n bits of silver for things that cant be green! lnot having pink as MIL loves pink n will go OTT!!0

I'm getting married in August this year and I have chosen coral as my colour scheme. It seemed like a good idea to start with but its proving really difficult to find things in the right shade of coral which is frustrating. I'm hoping for a sunny day (unlikely I know!) as I thought that it would look lovely in the sunshine.0

My daughter was married last year in a beautiful claret gown. The groom wore an ivory jacket with hanke etc in the colour of her dress.
I would think it could work the other way round.
You in Ivory with claret shoes, the bridesmaids in claret short dresses with ivory shoes.
The colours are in my Avatar.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I got married and had Fuschia and Orange! Looked stunning together and so summery.. Whatever you choose should show your personality. I LOVE weddings!0

How about dusky pink; they would look great in shoes and bridesmaid dresses.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

my friend mixed teal and purple - really quite stunning.
