Thats a terrible thing to say.. we have to work with a system that (at times)does what it likes and with the general public who use this to their advantage and try to fiddle the system. Can you imagine the grief that we get every day off people with your attitude. I'm shocked i thought this board was helpful to all.....obviously i was wrong.

THIS is like saying that most of claiments cheat the system. Oh and that everything that goes wrong is down to the sysytem!!!!

Ok - so the bottom line is HMRC and their crappy system but I have still yet to make an identical phone call to these people and receive the SAME answer!!

The whole tax credits is a shambles - just read the papers!!!!!

As this is now turning into a discussion about the Tax Credit system, I suggest it is moved to the Discussion forum.

The OPs question has been answered.

i would ring them and let them know of ANY change in your monetary nicome.
They estemate the credits on last years income, so it may not affect you this year, but next year your credits may well go down/up depending on the change in your income.
Any changes we have i inform them.
