Thanks happy MJ only thing is iam renting this property and the landlord won't let me switch to credit meter..
Always best to keep on the LL good side :)
Try to understand why the LL does not want you to change. Explain you will arrange to put the meter back to a PPM before the end of your TA if that will appease him

Or if you don't want to go to all that trouble, use the link I provided earlier to see if you can get a better deal with your PPM :)

No they won't not if the property is not returned in the same condition as it was originally let, and it cost the LL £50 to restore it to that condition.
Yes we've had this debate before. Take it to the tenancy deposit service. I'll put my own £50 on it that the tenant will get the deposit back.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

There we go, it appears HappyMJ is offering to pay the cost of reverting the meter at the end of the tenancy for you if that is needed :T

I suggest you seek independent legal advice and get a formal contract agreed with the HappyMJ - you may need to rely upon it later ;)

I'll deduct any savings made by switching to a credit meter from the settlement. Even if the deposit service agrees with the landlord the savings made by switching to a credit meter will far exceed £50.

Oh, now that's not such a good deal. :(
It sounds to me like you are welching on the wager already

But still OP - you've nothing to lose.
Maybe HappyMJ will pay the legal fees to get this contract sorted out for you ;)
