CIS 30 Year Policy. What value???

I have a CIS policy which is a £2,000 sum assured. It is due to finish next year after 30 years and I wonder what value it will have. At the time of taking it out I did not have a lot of money so I could only invest £5.80 a month so at the end of 30 years I will have only invested £2088. I can’t remember why I took it out for 30 years but I only wish I could have invested more.
One of the CIS agents said the policy could be worth as much as £20,000. Whilst I don’t believe this I think that £5,000 would be more realistic. Anyone understand how these things work? On completion the policy will get a reversionary bonus and terminal bonus added to the total?

Ask CIS Head Office in Manchester for a "surrender value" and this will tell you what the policy is worth now.0
