Temperatures of parts of house

Hi all
I'm a little obsessed with how cold my house is so I'm looking at everything to try to make it warmer.
I decided to buy one of these laser temperature guns. I've tried it over the house and the main results are as follows:
Room temp 16 degrees
Window glass between 12 and 16 degrees
Window plastic edges as low as 6 degrees
Kitchen slate floor between 10 and 5 degrees!!
New patio door frames 10 degrees
Landing ceiling 18 degrees
Bay window ledges 10 degrees
For those that know, if the house temp on landing is 17 degrees are these temperatures normal? I'm very disappointed with the window and door frames and edges as I've just had these installed to keep the heat in!!
Temp outside is about 0 degrees.
Cheers

How long had you had the heating on before measuring temps? Different materials take different times to heat up.
Did you also change the emissivity settings on the measuring unit when pointing it at different materials? Incorrect settings can throw temperatures out wildly. Personally I don't use the laser measurers anymore, only a surface temp sensor - but if you take the time to select the correct emissivity settings (should be a manual with ranges for different materials and finishes with the measurer) then you should be ok.0
