If Super amoled (and all the oled variants ) are so great then why do LCD/TFT devices still get a look in?
I understand the black and contrast ratio is 'better' on oled, but TFT /LCD must have some advantages otherwise why are they still used in some high priced devices?

Most of it all marketing crap - AMOLED use TFT... Amazing the number of people who say "I'd never have an LCD TV, I bought myself an LED one instead!", makes me smile. LCD is not same as TFT.0

Thing is if I walk past a store and say the galaxy S3 and iphone are switched on, the S3 has a more striking eyecatching display, but looking at a youtube video of the xperia z vs htc one, the screen on the htc looks more appealing but the text when the guy zoomed in was like ink on paper with the xperia z.0
