I desperately need a car!

Options
My very vintage work van finally went to the scrapyard after 210,000 miles had been driven in her, problem is I'm not in a position to buy a new car and I have bad credit from living abroad for 10 years and don't know how I'm going to afford this essential vehicle me and my daughter desperately need for everyday.
Does anyone know any companies that lend to bad credit that don't completely rip you off? Or anywhere I could get a run a round for less than £500?

    Hello Broke but fixing it

    Welcome to the MSE forum.:hello:

I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have a poor credit rating then buying a car outright is the only option if you wont want to be ripped off.

Under £500 car, Local car sales pitch, Private adverts in the newspaper, Autotrader, Ebay, Gumtree etc etc etc..

Did you weigh it in yourself?
  • The car I always end up with when broke is a Rover 400 diesel.

Civic shell and running gear, and rock solid non-stressed 2 litre diesel that'll do 400,000 miles without a sniff.

Paid between £330 and £700 for mine, had 4 with no problems.
