Don't panic, drain your oil and run an engine flush through it and then put good quality oil in the system, ( don't forget the filter aswell)Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

I would suggest buying a trolly jack, and some axle stands (do not drive it) and do an oil change on the spot. Buy some cheap engine oil from a bulk supplier, make sure it's the right grade and do drain the oil twice, once with the current oil, second time with new cheap oil, and then fill up with completely new oil and then drive it to a garage and ask them to inspect the oil.
ideally though - if you know of a friendly mechanic who is willing to come out and inspect the oil for you - outright it may be the best option.
Worst case scenario engineer will have to take everything off and manually clean out everything.
Does he not need a torque wrench?0 -
Even the watered down wonderwheels stuff is highly corrossive. As above, do not drive, do a cheap oil change, drive it until its hot and repeat. Keep your eye on the oil pressure warning light and if it comes on at all, stop and get it recovered. Might seem OTT, but cheaper than an engine.0

Echo the above. Don't wait for the service. Cheap oil + filter - drain and replace.
Don't know what car you have/grade require but iirc Halfords were doing offers on their own brand semi synth 10w/40 & 5w/40. Think it was 4L for a tenner.0 -
Engine flush in a modern car... No..
I wouldnt used that stuff. Buy a cheap supermarket oil of the right spec for your vehicle. Refill with that and run the engine to warm it and them drain that and refill with a decent oil.
Flushing oil was OK for old lumps with tolerances you could measure with a finger or 2 and fuel wasting fuel systems that helped clog things up.
Not for a modern car.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
still can't believe OP poured wheel cleaner into engine. The bottles for these should be COMPLETELY different.
The consistency, size of bottle the fact that it should say WHEEL CLEANER on the bottle have all been missed by OP. Is this a troll post?0 -

Bit like testing your torque wrench wrong or stopping in a box junction.0 -
