Amsterdam - Long weekend

Hi :)

Im thinking of going Amsterdam with a few of the lads for a long weekend. General stuff really, pubs, food, night life.

Basically, I am just after some adice on best way to book this. Any sites you can reccomend? is it best to get a flight and hotel deal? Not too fused about staying in a nice hotel.

Regards

A simple flight and hotel booked separately would be Ok.

Depends on what you nearest airport is but you can often get some good flight+hotel deals through EasyJet Hiolidays: http://holidays.easyjet.com/cheap-city-breaks-deals.htm

In Amsterdam I wouldn't worry about getting a hotel close to the city centre as the public transport is very good and it can be a lot cheaper to stop further out.

I booked flights and hotel seperately, but I wish that i had booked as a package as the accomodation was expensive, had a brill time though you will need a LOT of cash, it aint cheap!

I stayed in Amsterdam a few months ago, it is expensive to do anything there. If you want to do more than just drinking/smoking/taking mushrooms/sex shows, consider getting a city card which includes public transport and discounted or free entry to attractions and tours.

I flew Easyjet and got a relatively good hotel deal separately. The hotel was out of town but there was a good tram service in. Still a bit of a pain in the !!!! though.
