Once discharged do you hear much from your OR?

Assuming you have no beneficial interest/property to deal with?
It feels very strange that once discharged all contact just stops without actually having been informed?
What are peoples experiences?

not a peep.
Don't expect to hear anything, either.......Discharge means the OR has completed all investigations into the BR estate.
However, feel free to phone or email for a chat?
Especially if a DCA suddenly opens new contact? And tries to get one to pay up.....which is unlawful. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
It just seems really weird that it could all be over after discharge.
I think because its just a life changing event then it feels magnified.
Can they apply for a BRO/IPA/BRU or anything like that after discharge?
I don't mean from my circumstances just interested to know, or does it literally mean that its over, finito?0 -

Nope!
However, in rare cases, if the OR discovers some hidden truths, then they can..I believe, return to Court.....but in most cases on here, the answer is 'nope!'
Sorry about the waffle..it wont let me post 'no' on its own.........No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Bankruptcy leads to so many irrational thoughts

I contacted the OR after receiving a letter from a debt collecting agency. I called the number out of curiosity, and they had bought a debt from RBS which was covered in my BR. They asked for proof of BR, so I sent the letter to the OR who contacted the company. All is now quiet.......Other than that, no contact with OR0

No contact whatsoever...:pB&SC No. 298

Likewise, I heard nothing at all. I had expected to receive notification when I was discharged - nothing. So after the one year was up I wrote to the OR, he told me that I had been discharged four months early !
It proved to be useful though. The letter that I got from the OR giving the date of my discharge has been very good to have on many occasions.
To obtain the Certificate Of Discharge is expensive. The letter I got from the OR has proved to be just as good for me, and it cost nothing !0 -

If you were discharged early you should have received notification about this, it is only when you get discharged automatically that you do not receive any notification from the OR.:pB&SC No. 298

No. I heard nothing and received nothing from them when I was discharged. I only found out when I wrote to them to ask for my date of discharge.0 -
I heard nuffink  No, not a thing LOL

We were discharged in Nov 2011, and we expected to get some kind of confirmation of discharge, but we didn't hear anything at all.
So I contacted the OR at our allocated office, and asked them if my husband and I could have something to prove we are discharged, and they sent us both - individually - a letter confirming the discharge. (or 'Notice of Discharge.')
It's a good job too, as a couple of our creditors refused to correct our credit file until they saw the discharge notices.
Also, it's useful to enable you to get a better bank account etc, and some private landlords ask for them. With your 'Discharge Notice,' you can prove you will not have to pay anything back to anyone, ever. (Because of course, you are still eligible to pay monies back to the creditors until you're discharged, and this is the reason that some creditors will not correct your credit file, until they see proof of discharge.)
So I would reccommend to people who have been automatically discharged, and heard nothing from the OR, to contact them, and ask for your Notice of Discharge. There is a high chance that you will need it for something.0
