I Need Advice

This is my first post and i would like any help that is offered. Over the last 2 years i have got myself into financial problems and have not been able to pay my direct debits, which of course means alot of bank charges and overdraft charges. I have recentley noticed i have been paying £6 a month PPI on my account which i have no knowledge of signing or agreeing to pay. On the banks policy on PPI it states that, the PPI is to cover any missed direct debits or overdraft charges.
If i have been paying PPI on my account even if it was without my knowledge, why have i been receiving bank charges and overdraft charges?
If anybody can please give me any help or advice on if i can claim any of the money back i would be very gateful.
Thank You.

I've never had dealings with ppi but I think it is to cover you in times of illness or job loss etc. and you have to notify them of those specified, allowable circumstances, to enable the claim.

Even if your circumstances fall into their criteria, I don't know whether they would pay out in retrospect.0 -

PPI does not cover you for spending beyond your means.
If you really do want help, then I suggest you post your SoA over on the Debt Free Wannabe board.
