My gym membership finished on 9 Feb

is it up to me to remember this date or should I get a reminder from the gym?

I haven't been in there for a month because of injury and when I went in on Friday I asked the instructor when it ended and she told me it already had, on the 9th

when I was leaving there was an envelope on the desk for me, that wasn't there when I went in, and it was a reminder letter dated 4th Feb

I was thinking of changing gyms for a number of reasons but it looks like I'm here for another year

I wont forget again!

Depending how your contract is worded, the fixed or minimum term ended but your contract simply rolled over. Does your contract/ terms and conditions say you are in another fixed term of a full year and does it say anything about reminders? What does the reminder letter say, given only five days notice?

  • I relented and renewed my membership at this gym...I paid £39 up front and then its 11 months Standing Order at £39 a month. to a credit company. The gym use this credit company and you basically loan the money off the credit company who must pay the gym...i think that's the way it works

    |I got home tonight and checked my bank account and it showing that £39 went out on 11th Feb to the credit company...the gym membership finished on the 9th

So that means I've paid twice for this month with the £39 I've just paid cash...I rang the gym up and it looks like I have to deal with the credit company and not the gym...sigh
