Hi all.
Both our cars have died! Well sort of. The Kia Sedona has some sort of fuel pump leak thing £750 quote to fix and the mot is due in 3 days and god knows what that's gonna throw up. The Kia is a 55 reg 2.9 diesel auto guzzler.
My trusty escort (w reg) is struggling to start and I have to keep the passenger door closed with string! Mot fail next month then!
Anyway, we've seen 2 cars we fancy at the Indy dealer up the road. Honda civic 56reg 70k for £5995 and citreon c4 grande 08reg 70k 1.6l diesel for £5495.
Here's the question! What sort of a deal do you reckon I should aim for buying 2 cars at once? Finance sorted so essentially a cash buyer.
I'm still wavering on getting the Kia fixed but believe me when I say it's a complete wreck of a car and not worth tuppence due to the state the body work and inside is in.
Opinions and advice gratefully received

If you can't afford to spend £750 on repair (have you had alternative quotes/diagnosis?) - which might even be the last large bill for a year or two, or spend a couple of hours at no charge fixing the door, why the hell would you spend £10k on two cars that could have equally expensive faults 8 months down the line, with no comeback? These are mid life cars and I'd expect they'll need some work doing in the near future - especially the citroen.0

Agree with the above. I wouldn't buy a 5 year old Citroen if I wanted trouble free motoring and reduced risk of big bills. Frankly I'd rather have the Kia as the Korean cars of that vintage are a lot simpler.
That said I approve of making a reference to that video in a thread about used car dealers.0 -
I wouldnt buy a C4 with my own money either, Unless it was covered by the manufacturers warranty and i was selling before it expired.
4 year old one, No thanks.
As mentioned above, If you cannot afford £750 then how will you fix these cars next year? They are not new enough to not require servicing and parts.
Finance and repair costs = :sad:Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
