Thermals, which to buy?

  • Eliza, The Patra silk tops are very long, there is plenty to tuck in. I have a v necked thermal vest which I love, I have an outside hobby where I have to wear a proper shirt, Patra's range mean that I can have a short sleeved v neck thermal top so when I do come inside to peel the layers off it looks OK. I've also got a round neck, long sleeved top for wearing in more traditional circumstances. A friend of mine ends up at lots of balls that tend to be held in barns and marquees - she wears silk long johns under her full length dresses :)

  • Hi Applepad, sorry about the Raynards, my Sister suffers with that too. Unfortunately I've not found any brand to actually do the trick. It's a case of, as everyone else has mentioned, ....layers making sure that there aren't any gaps and warming the feet up before putting on thermal socks and tucking into long johns or tracksuit bottoms and keeping topped up with hot cuppas :)
  • A few jumping jacks do wonders for warming up the body too! It may seem silly but even with circulation problems I'm sure it makes a difference. I've been known to get up from my desk and do a few jumping jacks if my fingers start to go numb at the computer :)

LOL Karren, I am happy to say that my actual workplace is well heated so no need for star jumps - there are hundreds of people on my entirely open plan floor so it would be quite a spectator sport if I started leaping around! It'd be all:

Star jumps are strictly for when I am working from home or just faffing around on the computer at the weekend :)
