thread subscriptions probs

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this please move if it isn't.

I haven't been receiving the instant email updates to threads I have subscribede to for a few weeks. I have ticked the box for 'instant email notification' for each one in my 'user cp' but nothing gets tru. What am I doing wrong?

Any advice always appreciated

    Sorry to hear you are not getting your instant notification emails. In answer to your question it's quite possible you're not doing anything wrong.

    I have checked our logs and I can confirm that emails are being sent. Possibly your email provider is blocking these emails as junk mail? Alternatively have you changed the way you login and logout of the forums? If you were logging in and out a certain way before and these notifications worked, go back to doing that. Finally there may have been an update on your computer which affects cookies. So you could try experimenting with different software.

    Problems with instant notifications are a known issue with our forums software. They are currently handled in an inconsistent, confusing, and unreliable way. We previously resolved this issue by implementing a simplified, reliable system which guaranteed instant notifications. But the system we have now was reinstanted by public demand.

    I have tried logging in using firefox, clearing cookies, re-entering my email ddress, I have added the domain name:moneysavingexpert.com to my safe senders list but nothing works. It is the same address that the weekly email is sent to and that gets thru fine. Can someone post the email address the subscription emails are sent from so that I can add it to my email account's contact list. Failing that does anyone else have any ideas how to resolve this problem? Thanks in advance x
