Will 195 65 R15 tyres fit a Fiesta Silver?

Hi All,
We have been advised to replace wheels and tyres on our Fiesta Silver in the near future. A friend has seen a good deal on 4 wheels/tyres that he is sure will fit on ebay with local pick up. They are 195 65 r15. They also say PCD100/108 6.5J X 15H2 on them.
We thought we needed 195 45 r16 but have no experience with this type of thing.
Anybody know if they will fit please?

That change, if the smaller 15" wheels fit (I assume you are looking at wheels and tyres), would be a 9% difference, so not really recommended.

Why have you been advised to replace the wheels?..are they really badly scuffed/corroded?

Thanks for your reply. Quite concerned now as my partner has gone to look at them.
He says tiptop tyres told us the wheels were old and damaging the tyres as they were bubbling up and we had to keep blowing the tyres up.
Is it a safety issue to have the wrong wheels if they do fit?

Could be depends on what you mean by wrong wheels. Have you asked your insurance company. Changing wheel type or size and or tyre size could invalidate the insurance.

Oh dear. No, my partner has been talked into this alleged bargain and hasn't checked anything about insurance. Thanks so much for pointing that out. The wheels and tyres are not those recommended for the car and I feel uneasy about it. He is meeting to try them this morning.
