Require a refund through Paypal but bank won't help.

Well, my lesson is to definitely make a note of dates for Paypal claims. I've used the forum for over 10 years with hundreds of transactions both buying and selling. So frustrating.0

Ok, want a sensible answer, you go to court and probably get a default judgement because the seller probably won't appear in court. And thats as far as you can take it.
Except for wasting £60 odd, you might feel better knowing you're 'legally right'

Sounds like a typical reply from a Dixons Group employee.0 -

If it got lost in the post, he could prove it as he supposedly has the tracking number. If he cannot provide a tracking number, in my eyes it was never sent. Completely ignoring all my contact asking him what's going on does not seem like the response of someone that is completely above board. If you gave someone money and then they disappeared I'm sure you would jump to fraud too.
And please don't mistake my last paragraph as a threat. I am running out of options right now, so sending someone to ask for the money on my behalf or for some proof of a tracking number doesn't seem unreasonable.
Given his form I would suspect he sent it by regular post to save money, it got lost and he stalled until you ran out of time. Standard mail is not tracked. Suspecting fraud is not the same as accusing someone of it and accusing PayPal of facilitating it.
Sending someone over to ask for money can be deemed intimidating/ threatening, especially given how you worded the OP. How would nicely asking for a tracking number compromise official action?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Well, the person I would ask to go and speak to him is not threatening in the slightest so I'm not worried about that. I don't really know what I was getting at there. Didn't really think that last part through heh.0
