    Before you do anything drastic, does your OH get any bursary or loans other than fees? How much does he earn per week?

    Also Tax Credits will use your annual figure - so if over that then until April you still won't get them.

    It can be seen as depravation of capital to pay the mortgage off in order to gain benefits.
