ok so i love a good bargain, and use kindle software from amazon

i have subscriptions to some American sites that give great advice on preserving and pickling etc, which i have tried and can't find on uk amazon, but with an account with ,com amazon i can get.

BUT (you still with me)
with my American account - which i only want to purchase digital so gave a random address.

i can only download to their cloud reader, my android tablet is plugged into my pc, or i can access amazon via the tablet, but it will not pick up,

you need to register which is fine, a link is then sent to your email address to download the 'app, which is android app from apple, my android doesn't allow me to download and install, i have gone through the security of allowing, but it just won't.

all i want is the occasional ebook that i can't get on amazon uk, but can find on amazon com (usa)

Have you tried with the Kindle for PC from your pc ?

yes, all amazon.com does is attempt to install it again on my pc.

Are you able to change the account on the kindle itself to USA. Think that is the only way.

As for buying from amazon.com, can you not find the books from another source

The Android / Apple App and kindles are region specific, so if you register it with Amazon with your co.uk address it will only allow UK titles and will only download the UK version of the App.

With Android, Google Play knows you're in the UK (because of your IP address) so Google will only let you install UK region apps.
