    is that not welcome here?

If all forum users opened multiple posts at one. Then what.

Why not ask your question in a singular post?

this is a bit weird. i wasnt asking the same question in multiple threads. seems like a lot of people think they know that i am causing problems. but i'm not.

    i didnt repost any content.

and that is why i am asking. i thought i would be welcome.

    You are welcome here :grouphug:

But you must comply with the multitude of rules, terms & conditions that you agreed to abide by when posting. (so it's understandable that sometimes posters may transgress them, but don't take it personally - just find out and learn from your mistake, if any)
No one here can tell you for sure why your posts/threads have been removed but I have posted the official way you may be able to find out, and what you can do if you are still unhappy.

Attempting to do this on the board may also be considered an infringment of the site rules.

    ok, yes
i havent spammed or posted multiple posts, but my posts have been removed anyway, so, i guess better to use a smaller forum where i am, i hope, more appreciated
other things i have posted here have disappeared too, i thought i just couldnt find them, but on checking, theyve been deleted.
a bit odd, but i can duck out without investing any time at this point...thank you for replies

The forum team may never have been involved in this. If there are enough users marking a post as spam, it disappears automatically. It doesn't matter whether the originator of the post agrees it was spam - the majority wins "the argument" (without having one).

Perhaps do a little bit of work yourself and highlight a few funds you've looked at already. It's not difficult to do that, and then ask for opinions and help narrowing down the options.

I reckon half the reason those posts where deleted is because its a bit like making a post asking which is the best football team when you don't even seem that interested in football anyway.

strange. spam is spam. a poster could, and this is not the case with these particular threads, could have put a lot of research into a post. if it is relevant and potentially useful, including to the poster, it should be able to stand.

i have a very very keen interest in the subjects i posted about JohnRo, along with in my football team:T

as it happens, i consciously didn't mention any funds...and would have chipped in with some ideas further down, like you do in a forum.

    a shame, but ok

by all means remove this thread, whoever handles such things here. can i delete my profile and take this, and other posts, with it, in the process?

This thread won't be removed, there is no reason to remove it.

Why not try again in a more constructive way rather than just flouncing off in a huff?

spam is not just about people trying to flog something but also flooding the forums with posts. You start three near identical threads which just one word different. You could easily have asked the same question in one thread.

Discussions boards have an unwritten etiquette. So, it is worth considering it even if you dont want to post here anymore because other boards will be similar. This site actually is very tolerant to newbie posters. Others can be a lot worse.
