That's true but she didn't ask me anything, just made a diagnosis based on nothing, not what I'd expect from a real professional0 -
They are not cold hard facts, you simply copied and pasted someones opinion you found on a website somewhere.
How can you make a judgement that 60g is too much for ME when you have not asked my age/weight/height/bmi/ and what exercise I do daily and was actually doing an hour and a bit after I ate it?
I'm beginning to think you may be just a copy and paster that sits behind the keyboard all day and doesn't actually do much else.
So the G.I. index isn't a cold-hard fact? The copy and paste was from a scientific trial, not just someones opinion. But you don't seem to be bothered about listening, just going on the defensive and casting ill-found aspersions.
The 'judgement' was a comment, but you know that.
You seem annoyed because someone has disagreed that cornflakes aren't a great food stuff - which is where all this started - but if you had a clue about nutrition you would realise that.
I am fully qualified thank you, and have 20 years of 'real world' experience. Enjoy your cornflakes.0 -

If you had a clue about nutrition you would know that simple carbohydrates are a good source of easily digested energy.

As I asked, what qualification, in what and where can it be verified?0 -

Still waiting....
For all you Special K lovers out there (the dieters choice right?) I see the new variety is being advertised heavily on tv.
It's got added chocolate and a strawberry. Tempting isn't it? Yes, a cereal that makes you lose weightand gives you naughty chocolate fans a little treat at the same time. :rotfl:
Don't buy some if you know what's what.
They've upped the added sugar from the already very high 17g per 100g to 24g per 100 over the original variety (which is bad anyway)
and upped the fat content from 1.5g to 3g per 100g
I don't know the price but it will only be higher once any introductory discount has ended.
EDIT: found them is tesco but not with a strawberry, just with chocolate, at £2.69 for a 300 gram box, yes.........300g
so that = 89 pence per 100 grams, wow, I'd expect it to be drizzled in caviar and have a sprinkle of rhino horn for that price.

May as well just dip real strawberries into real melted chocolate and have the real thing !
My mouth was watering at the pics of real strawberries and squares of a block of chocolate, I wonder what is REALLY in the box? I would hazard a guess, there will be tiny freeze dried pieces of strawberry and the odd chocco type coating covered flake!
Percentages (found on the webpage of kellogs) are given as 3% freeze dried strawberry and 5% chocolate, and in a 30ml bowl with semi skimmed milk , there are 13gms of sugar! 10% of the flakes have the coating it says on the info on their site! That means 90% of them in the box are ordinary special K flakes!
Blimey! Have a bit of toast and an apple instead0 -
Or some bacon and scrambled eggs!

My breakfast used to be bacon and eggs, a sausage for good luck lol, but I need to cut back and take care of myself better these days, so today was one Organic Weetabix, semi skimmed Moo organic UHT added (yum very creamy flavour) milk, added a few blueberries and a half teaspoon of real sugar just a touch ,as the organic ones haven't been blitzed with sugar.
That is a fairly health conscious brekkie and I am surprised that I enjoyed it so much! lol0 -
What do you mean by "cutting back"? 2 rashers of good quality bacon and 1-2 scrambled eggs comes in at under 350 calories and really sets you up for the day!
You have reminded me that I haven't had blueberries for ages - they're an awesome snack frozenMight have to go find some!
