Warm home discount - income question
Options
I'm pretty sure the answer isn't favourable, but thought I would check just in case. When they ask for gross income, I can only assume they mean actual earned income, not the *RATE/SALARY* your household currently received.
DH is sole-earner at the moment on salary less than the £16,500 threshold, but I earned some money back in 2012 that would put us over the threshold for *gross 2012-13 income*. He also spent some time on JSA, but is off it now. I'm pretty sure we won't be eligible for the discount until next year, then?
Thanks.

Here is the link to each energy supplier that does the scheme - you would not get it now for this year as claims had to be in before the end of December in all cases.
Bur if you look at your energy supplier (electric one) - it will tell you what the broader vunerable groups of people are. In most cases it usually depends on you getting an income related (means tested benefit), but there are other circumstances where you might qualify - you'd have to ask them if the answer is not completely obvious.0 -

To me gross income is gross income not earned income, many benefits are taxable income declared to the Inland Revenue tho often not taxed income. Don't assume, telephone them to ask or read the accompanying notes for completion.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
