Spendless- A slidestore is a divan which instead of having drawers under- has a door that slides- so you can use all the space under.

Think i`ll go for 1 of these again as you can get more in- will buy some boxes- he still has lots of toys and stuff, although he does love tv,playstation and computer!

Plus he does not want to throw things away- i wounder where he gets that from!!

Been looking at storage for our bedroom too- think I just need to get a skip and put whole house in!!!

Or spend less time on here and more doing house work!!

I have taken the boys out this am, done lunch, spent an hour ironing- so get 30 mins on internet- well I needed to look at storage stuff!

Think I need to make 3 piles

Ebay- never sold before - but need to have a go
    BIN
    charity shop

But need to find room to put piles!!!!!!!!!!
  • I'd definitely choose a slidestore rather than drawer divan. You get lots more usable space, and you can also have other furniture (e.g. a bedside cabinet or something) nearby without blocking access to underbed storage. Little ones are also liable to break the drawer runners on cheapish divans by pulling one side more than the other when opening the drawers. Tbh I don't know why there's a market for the drawer ones at all: they're almost always more expensive than the slidestore ones, as well as less practical.

I love that book case but how much ?!!!!!!

The ikea mesh hanging thingies are fab ,my son almost 11 has lots of little bitty "things" !! which used to drive me mad,but now they get put in there

if space is a problem then anything which stacks / stores under / on walls / under bed etc is a godsend

my youngest has the box room and all he has in it is a bed and a wardrobe lol

but the bed is a midi sleeper, so he has lots of room for stacking and wicker boxes underneath for all his toys / books / dvds etc
also floor cushions and a tv under there
