I always use the "technical data" pages on https://www.parkers.co.uk to compare between models.
If you're looking at diesel cars then the figures in the reviews on https://www.dieselcar.com might be more realistic.0 -
For new cars, you could consult the Vehicle Certification Agency database on their website here. The database can be searched in 5 different ways, but perhaps one of the more useful is a search on all vehicles capable of achieving a 'combined mpg' figure in the specified range.
