Historic prices archive?

Options
I am coming to the end of my fixed tariff next month and am not very good at the whole comparing thing, so I was just wondering if anyone knew, do utility companies publish past prices (eg the last year) anywhere so you can see how their prices have changed over that period? Dont know if it would be all that useful but i thought it might give an idea of how ruthless the company is regarding price rises, if their rates just go up and up or if they plateau at any times.

Brilliant, yes, thankyou, that was pretty much exactly what i was after. Theres not much in it really is there, especially between the bigger companies.

Now if you can just help me find an online crystal ball so i can see the next price rises that would be lovely, thankyou. :D

Comparing tariffs requires 2 pieces of info only. Your annual kWh usage and your postcode. How much simpler could it be?
Historical price data does not give any clue as to future trends. The Big Six track one another's prices and act accordingly. The smaller suppliers are ultimately dependent on the wholesale prices or the Big Six from whom they purchase anyway.
