in Techie Stuff
I'm hoping someone on here can help, I've tried looking up the answers online but either I can't find what I want, or its too techie for me!!
Basically, I want to know if spotify is right for what we want, if it'll do what I think it'll do.
We are a family of 4, hubby has an iphone that he'd want to play music on, kids have an ipod in the playroom, I have an ipod in the kitchen, & we have an ipad, and a laptop (old & on its way out, memory nearly full, but needs to keep going as I use it for work)
As far as I understand it, you 'have' Spotify on your computer, but then other devices can use it.
Does it have to be on my laptop or could it be on the ipad?
Have I understood correctly that you download the songs you play, so then they are stored on your computer? So the first time you play the song it counts as downloading data, but then you could play it an infinate number of times & its not taken out of your broadband allowance?
So do you always have to be online to use spotify or not?
How do you get the music onto other devices? would hubbies iphone have to go online to use spotify & he puts in our account details?, or is it a case of physically putting the songs on his phone - in a similar way of synching his phone to itunes on the laptop?
If he has to go online to use spotify would that eat up his data allowance? Also, mine & kids ipods are very old & have no internet capability, so if you have to go online it means they're no use?
Sorry for all the questions, and if you've kept reading this far - thank you, if you are able to give some answers - a huge thank you
