Hi

As the title may well imply, I haven't got the foggiest what I am doing or talking about( Nothing new there then!)

Thanks to people on here I have converted some avi files into dvd video files.

They only last 20 minutes and I would like to put several onto one dvd and burn it with nero.

Is this possible? If so, how? They each have AUDIO_TS and VISEO_TS folders but the audio ones are all empty.

Thanks

I don't think that you're supposed to go about it that way.

When I have put three episodes on one DVD I used a DVD authoring program. This converted all the avi files at the same time, together with a menu.
When it's finished there is only one pair of AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders.
All the VOB, IFO and BUP files ended up in the one VIDEO_TS folder ready to burn.

PS It's normal that the AUDIO_TS folder is always empty.

edit This was my first attempt :-screenshot0fp3.png

Dunno why you want to do multiple files onto one dvd but here goes.

Ignore at your peril - I don't even know why I am helping you - I helped myself - Anyway the charity must be abundant.

    1. You need a avi - dvd converter. Get win avi from somewhere. Probably the same place.
    2. Get vcd gear from somewhere if you have iso files etc.
    3. Once you have done this - and you really are on the WRONG site for this info - get dvdshrink.
    4. As soon as both files have been converted use shrink to reauthor your files.
    5. When done to 1 file - burn it.

That is all I am giving you and is all the info you need - like I said this is the WRONG site for this - U are lazy and you will have to read help files. You now have all the info you need, but TBH you are at COMPLETELY the wrong site and maybe if you have no clue you should leave well alone. Or perhaps get a bit of Willpower and teach yourself like most other mortals.

To all the kind people on here who have helped me over the years, I say thank you.

I could have sworn that the thread was Techie Stuff and this was a techie question.

I have given advice to others on subjects that I am proficient in and have received great advice on subjects that I know little about.

That is the ethos of this forum, helping each other, a community.

    Thanks again, gc

the easiest especially if your not bothered about having menues is to use dvd santa, just add all the video files (avi whatever) you want on the dvd as files and it converts them to DVD and creates the output files it will also burn hem to dvd for you.

If you want a menu then I use TMPGEnc DVD Author and it sorts it all out to fit on a standard dvdr.
