Loan taken out online with stander-ppi?

Hi,

I've just found out that a loan I took out with santander in 2008 had ppi on it. I contacted them to ask if there had been ppi just on a whim and was told that the loan did include ppi.

When I called santander, they said that the loan was taken out online so i had agreed to the ppi of my own free will, however I'm sure that I did apply for the loan online but was only given a quote and then had to call a hot line and also fill out paper work (which I no longer have)

I vaguely remember the person on the phone at the time of taking the loan strongly advising me to have ppi, but I'm sure I refused it.

Should I peruse the complaint as I honestly don't remember agreeing to it, and is that an acceptable reason to complain?
