Comping in comfort!

When I am going to start my comping I like to....
1) change into my cosy comfy bottoms!
2) make myself a nice big mug of coffee
3) pop the tv on (during the mornings I keep the volume low though as I need to be able to hear the postie if he rings my bell!) :rotfl:
4) make sure the tv remote and my mobile phone are by my side so I don't have to get up!
Once I have everything in place, I can then settle down and comp - laptop on my cushioned knee tray in the comfort of my living room!
Anyone else have comping rituals!?
Oh and I always do my dailies first thing in my pjs - I only get dressed once they are complete! :rotfl: I really get upset if my little routine is broken!

I like to get into Bella's comfy bottoms too
::sits back and proudly watches the rumour mill wheels start turning::
I comp in/on bed, tiny studio flat means bed is essentially the sofa too.
As for rituals, I start by doing all those that end today, followed by those that end tmrw. Then start catching up from where I left off (comp by date of last post), look to do 24 hours posted worth at least (am so behind lol, like a week?) At the end of the session I do the last of those that end today or tmrw. Then A quick check with board sorted by title to catch the odd couple that are posted incorrectly and the Puzzler/TAB.
Wash rinse repeat...Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

LOL! Yes, I do my dailies before the kids get up (so yes, I start early). My kids are at school now so I am up and down comping throughout the day, in-between school runs, housework, shopping and cooking! Usually once they have gone to bed though - I am knackered so just watch tv then an early night!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Sort of rituals, no comping method at the moment as lost my way a bit. Also depends on season!
1) Unless going out the pj's stay on, as do the thermal socks & dressing gown! Though even if I am dressed I still have dressing gown on as I'm always freezing this time of year.
2) Comp at kitchen table, no TV or sound, quite like silence as it's noisy enough when kids get home! Mobile phones to my right, twitter & FB messages come through on personal, comp phone for extra ITV entries but alas it has yet to ring!
3) Depending on time of day, it's coffee or magners/ strongbow pear cider!
4) I suffer terribly with cold, so if it's particularly nippy, I can be found back in bed, leccy blanket on covers up to my chin with one hand out for typing, this is also true at night as I'm a terrible sleeper so tend to take laptop up with me.
5) If it's summer and 80 degrees I will be found on decking in bikini top and shorts, with towel over screen and head so I can see.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

1) Something on in the background on the computer
2) Open tabs of ones I want to do - ending in a week (I'm that far ahead)
3) work from closing today onwards
4) Do instant dailies
5) Do dailies that are on my wish list. iPad
6) Drink Tea. (actually this point goes after each one..)
7) Stretch
I love all these funny little things we all do. When I was at my old place I used to comp under a blanket with gloves on I was that cold!
And into the early hours, doing the dailies at midnight! :Pxx

LOL Becky! I feel the cold too - I have one of those oil filled heaters beside the sofa throughout the day to keep me warm whilst comping! I seem to feel the cold more when not up and about! Summer days - em they are getting lesser and lesser! I agree with having plenty of coffee though - 8 mugs a day at least then red wine on Friday and Saturday evenings!
I hate silence! I have to have the tv on all day, even if it is on low!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Youngest is so loud, he had XBox & XBox live for Xmas which has been a godsend for him as he gets to mix, interact & play games with his school friends (can't let him out to play he is autistic with ADHD and unsafe). Only for me it is a nightmare I hate loud noises and he is literally screaming at his friends despite being told they can still hear him if he talks normally! From 9-3 I actually relish the silence, is only me & the dog & cat and it's lush.
Agree with the lack of summer days think I had maybe 3 or 4 decking days last year!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I start after breakfast/school run. If I did the school run then like BlueBella, I get into comfy bottoms!
When I get tired of the laptop on my lap, I get the iPad out as I can lie down and use it!

This is my routine exactly, with the addition of a footstool (just realised that I only ever have one leg at a time on it, wonder why that is?)
I usually stick something on that I've Sky+ then as the closing credits go up I realise that I haven't a clue what happened in itLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams
