Second car insurance

I have a second car fully functional and insured.
My old car is due to expire its insurance this month. It it just parked off street and I have no intention to use it any more. Do I have to renew the insurance given that I do not use it and wound be selling it off in couple of moths time!
What about road tax and MOT dies it need to renewed? I am not driving this car

If its off road (on private drive) it doesn't need to be taxed or insured or MOT'd, but remember to SORN it or declare it scrap.
If its parked on a public road then its needs tax and insurance, probably best to MOT it too or it'll be worth tuppence when you come to sell it.
If you're not going to use it again why not sell it now, no worries about it then.0
