Amex Foursquare - Specific Issue

Sorry to create a new thread in the Amex Foursquare deals but thanks a fairly specific issue and thought I'd be more likely to get a response here rather than posting on the existing thread which has become a bit of a master.

I used foursquare to spend £55.50 the other day in Banana Republic and received the notification of the £25 saving. However, I exchanged one of my purchases today and as the replacement was £5 cheaper, this was refunded to my card.

So... Will the refund to my card cancel the cashback? My total spend even with the £5 refund will still be £50.50 butnjustbwondered if anyone else has had an issue getting the cashback following a refund?

Personally havent had an issue, even got cashback after the full transaction was refunded. I've always had the suspicion that AmEx's systems are not the most advanced in the world
