Does it take for money to be paid into your account after the loan application? I have just been on moneysupermarket for the best quote (which is virgin) and want to apply. I want to start looking for a car but don't want to start too soon if the money hasnt gone in.

From you signing the loan agreement and posting it, I'd say generally a week to two weeks.

Depends on the company, if you are accepted and pay the chaps fee some will have it for you the next (or same) day. Why not phone them and ask?

I tried but its bank holiday. I have never had a loan before so I wasn't too sure.

It is an online quote. Do they still send out forms to fill in aswell?

This is only a quote. They will need to send frms out for you to sign, make sure that the forms that you get read the same as the quote! They may ask for some ID, or they may have been able to ID you electronically (ie voters roll etc), but I wouldn't commit yoursef to anything till the £££ is securely in your bank!

last time i got a loan it was in branch with lloydstsb and the money was in there straight away

I got a loan thru moneysupermarket. I applied for it tuesday, got paper work wed but was wrong so had to wait for correct one which came thursday, sent it backsigned on friday and received a letter sat saying it will be in bank in 3 working days, its thru alliance and leicester, so quick turnaround really.

Usually its 3 or 4 working days after the paperwork has been agreed, unless you borrow from your own bank, in which case it can be done the same working day
