Will PIP replace DLA for all the extras disabled people get with it? such as the CEA cinema cards, the disability premiums on benefits etc.

the conema cards arent paid for by DLA, they are something the cinema chains offer to disabled people and are funded by the companues.
DLA also doesnt pay the premiums.
these premiums are added to the other benefits ( means tested ones)
when universal credit come in, i'm led to believe that there will be no premiums, but there will be transitional protection for people who already receive them.0 -

But you need to be on DLA to receive the CEA card and be able to take my carers with me. Same as premiums are only available if you are on DLA aren't they? like someone couldn't just get my doctor to write a letter and say he's/she's disabled can they to get them? DLA seems the proof someone is disabled.0 -
i get what you mean now.
i would have thought that the cinemas would put a similar schemein olace, but its entirely up to them if they want to or not.
the premiums are stopping, so there will be no need to prove that anyones entitled to them.
PIP will still be run the same way, and everyones eligibilty to any benefits will be on the system and traceable using national insurance numbers0 -
you say the premiums are stopping, does this include disabled wtc do you know please?0

i am sure i read that the premiums are stopping. but you will have transitional prtection.
because it will be a universal benefit, there woll probably be different rates for people that meet different criteria, so although there will be no premiums, benefits will probably paid at different rates for people that meet criteria.0 -
dla is now seen as proof of disability i assume that pip will be seen the same way0
