hi

I was wondering if any one had any experience with swopping as British gas are no help at all.

I have had my meters changed a few days ago to credit meters, I was wanting to make a online account so i can keep up to date with my usage, British gas basically don't know why it wont let me make a online account and don't know when my first bill date will be:cool:

Any one know anything about the procedure when swopping when will my bill be? I was wanting to pay monthly.

Is there anyway to work out how much i have used? with meter readings?

Sorry if i have not made much sense:rotfl:

It seems most strange to me that a supplier has effectively given you unlimited credit by installing credit meters with you without at least agreeing with you how you plan to pay them or indeed agreed the tariff on which you will be charged. (although without any other advice, I guess they will charge you based on their expensive, default tariff)

Did you give them a call? If so, how did you get on?

You may wish to consider this before locking yourself into any specific deal

As above, you'll need to wait until the exchange has been updated. This will create new 'credit' account(s) with new account number(s) which you need to enter to logon online.
I think the new accounts will default to a standard quarterly tariff.
You can call them on 0800 048 0202 to check if it has been updated yet.
