B & Q Laminate flooring

Hi all.

We recently bought a new house and put laminate flooring in one of the bedrooms. It's been down around 7 weeks. About 2 weeks after it was layed the edges started to peel.

It's white flooring and the edges have started to come off, shwoing the brown wood/MDF underneath - it looks awful.
I submitted a complaint to B & Q via their online form, provided scanned copies of our receipt and photos of the issue.

Eventually the complaint has been passed to ther store we bought it from and two people came out from their today to look at the flooring.

They asked for copies of the receipts .... again and took some photos.

They then implied that they think it could have been caused when laid (it wasn't the floor looked perfect after it was first laid). The edge has started to peel on various spots, some long sides, some on the edges etc. Plus who would seriously continue to lay a floor when it had chips or bits missing from the edges?!

The bedroom floor isnt even walked on with shoes! To me it looks like the flooring doesnt have a protective layer on the top, therefore making the painted top layer shoddy and causing it to peel.

They have said they now need to send an independant assessor out.

The flooring has a 20 year guarantee but I cant find the terms of this, has anyone had any experience of similar issues?
