Benefits affected by son becoming an apprentice?

My son will be 16 shortly and is applying for an apprenticeship. The hourly rates are very low and I was wondering whether this income would be included in the calculations for housing and council tax benefit which I currently claim....?
Also I am assuming child benefit and child tax credit will stop for me for this son (although I have younger children) - is this the case does anyone know?
Any other things to consider that I might have forgotten about....?

Yes and no. Child tax and cb end for him, his income isn't counted BUT a deduction is applied to you as a none dependant for housing is living in the home.0

You will lose all the child related benefits you received for him because he is working. I am sure your son will be making a contribution out of his apprentice wages that will help offset this loss.
You will not however have a non-dependant deduction for either Housing Benefit or Council tax benefit, see link below.

As he is an apprentice there is no non-dependant deduction for either HB or CTB."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Apprentices have a different minimum -

£300 would be nice but I doubt I will get £10 a week from my son!0 -

That's your choice but you can't really expect benefits to fund it.0
