Son has forgoten his password for tablet! Kidigi(BWC)

We have a kidigi (now BWC) 7" tablet bought from mobicity at xmas. My son has put a password on it and forgotten it! Before i kill him does anyone know what else i can try.
I have tried the power on and Volume + but all you get is the android guy with chest keyboard and no writing on the screen anywhere. No way of selecting an option to reset the thing. There is no hole to reset with a pin.
If i enter the password wrongly 5 times it just tells me to wait 30secs before tring again.
If i can't figure out a way to reset the thing is there a shop or something who can do it for me. Otherwise he's learned a very hard lesson and won't have a tablet!

you'll need to perform a "HARD RESET" which ive only peformed on a phone before.
is there a pinhole on the side of the unit to push a pin or paperclip into to reset it?
